Lauren Mae finds the language that makes hard-to-explain products make sense, and builds the systems, from positioning to distribution, that carry them forward.

Her background is in technically complex, hard-to-explain products, from blockchain infrastructure to virtual worlds. The challenge is always some version of the same thing: making something genuinely new legible to the right people, and getting it in front of them. She has done this at Algorand Foundation, Decentraland, and Concordium, each a different stage and a different brief. At Algorand, that meant content and education at scale, including work connected to the Blockchain Academy in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme. At Decentraland, it was narrative positioning and product messaging across a live, complex ecosystem. At Concordium, web copy and thought leadership for an institutional audience.

That specialty is built on an earlier foundation in consumer and lifestyle content, including Co-op and Piccolo, which is where the plain-language, editorial instinct comes from.

She is currently applying all of it to her own product: Debrief, a private dating journal that analyses your dating patterns. Debrief is where the thinking gets tested first, not just positioning and story, but the go-to-market work itself: figuring out audience, channels, and how a genuinely personal product earns trust and reaches the people it is for. It is currently at the distribution stage, which means the strategy underneath this site is not theoretical.

The same approach shapes the agentic marketing infrastructure she builds, including a content system built on Hermes, an AI blogging and publishing pipeline that runs with minimal manual input. It is tested on her own work first, so it is ready when a client needs it.

What all of this made clear: the gap between what a product actually is and how it gets understood by the right people, by press, by AI systems, is almost always structural. The information is incomplete, inconsistently told, or not reaching where it needs to. More content rarely fixes that. Better architecture does, and so does knowing how it should actually reach people.

She works with startups and individuals building things that are genuinely hard to explain, funded or early-stage teams who want the reasoning, not just the tagline, and people with deep expertise not yet shaped into a clear offer.
